We are launching in Awka, Anambra State, and expanding across the state from there. Set your delivery address at the top of the app and you will only ever see kitchens that actually deliver to it — if none do yet, you can join the waitlist for your area and we will email you the day we switch it on.
Most orders arrive in 25 to 45 minutes. Each kitchen publishes its own prep time on its page, and the rider's trip is added to that. Traffic, weather and how busy the kitchen is all move the number, so the time you see at checkout is an honest estimate rather than a promise.
Yes. From the moment you pay, your order page shows every stage live — the kitchen accepting it, the food being prepared, a rider picking it up, and the delivery itself. You do not need to refresh; the page updates itself as each stage lands.
Open the order page and watch it live. If the kitchen still hasn't accepted after about 12 minutes, a “Cancel & get a refund” button appears — cancelling then refunds you in full, automatically. Once the kitchen has accepted and is cooking, the order can no longer be cancelled from the app; tap “Get help with this order” on the same page and a person will look into it with you, and where a delivery genuinely goes wrong we refund to your original payment method.
It is how we prove your food reached you and nobody else. Every order carries a one-time code shown on your order page. Read it out to the rider only once the food is physically in your hands — never in advance, and never over the phone before they arrive.
Not in a single order. Each order goes to one kitchen, because one kitchen cooks it and one rider carries it from that kitchen's door to yours. Adding a dish from a different restaurant will offer to start a fresh tray for you.
You can cancel free of charge any time before the kitchen starts cooking, and you are refunded in full. Once the vendor has accepted and begun preparing your food, the order can no longer be cancelled — the ingredients are already committed.
Somebody must be reachable at the delivery address. The rider calls the number on your order and waits at the drop-off for 10 minutes. If they cannot reach anybody in that time, the order may be closed without a refund, since the food has already been cooked and carried.
Tap the “Deliver to” pill at the top of the app to pick a saved address or add a new one — everything you browse and every fee you see follows that address. The address on an order is frozen the moment you pay, so a rider is never sent chasing an edit; if you placed an order with the wrong address, chat with support immediately from the order's page.
Foodprint is prepaid. You pay in full through Paystack before the kitchen starts cooking, using a card, a bank transfer or USSD. We never see or store your card details — Paystack handles them end to end.
No. Prepaid ordering is what lets a kitchen start cooking the moment it accepts, and it is what protects riders from carrying cash across the city. It is not something we plan to change.
The total you see at checkout is the total you pay. It is made up of the food subtotal, the delivery fee for the distance to your address, and a small service fee. We calculate all of it on our own servers from the kitchen's live menu prices, so nothing can be quietly changed between the tray and the bank.
In full and automatically whenever a kitchen cannot accept your order — because it is closed, out of stock or unreachable — and whenever you cancel before cooking starts. If your food does not arrive, arrives in an unacceptable state, or is materially different from what you ordered, contact us within 24 hours and we will investigate with the vendor and rider.
You are never left paying for food nobody is making. If the kitchen is closed, out of stock or simply doesn't accept in time, the order is cancelled and your full payment is refunded automatically — you don't have to ask. While an order is still waiting to be accepted you can also cancel it yourself from the order page for the same full refund.
The refund leaves us immediately, but it settles back to your original payment method in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Nothing on our side is holding it during that window.
Do not pay again. Confirmation usually lands within seconds of the bank approving your payment; if the confirmation message is delayed on its way to us, our system re-checks directly with Paystack and confirms your order automatically within about 15 minutes. If it still shows unpaid after that, chat with support from your Account page — never place the order a second time.
Yes — enter a promo code at checkout and the discount shows on your total before you pay, so there are never surprises. Some codes only work on your first order, and each code spells out its own conditions where you got it.
Nothing. There is no fee to list and no commission — you keep 100% of your menu price on every order. Customers pay a small service fee on top of your prices, so it never comes out of yours. If we ever introduce a commission, vendors will hear it from us first, with notice, before anything changes.
No — and this is the whole point. Most kitchens cook far better than they run logistics. Cook the food, mark it ready, and a verified Foodprint rider is dispatched to collect it. You never hire, insure or dispatch a rider yourself.
Order money is settled to the bank account you verify at onboarding, automatically every Monday — each payout covers everything you are owed through the end of Sunday. Every naira that moves through an order is recorded in a ledger you can see, so a payout can always be traced back to the orders that made it up.
Both. Home cooks are a first-class part of the marketplace, not an afterthought. Registered businesses provide their registration details; home kitchens verify identity and pass the same food-safety and kitchen review.
Usually a few days. You submit your kitchen details, photos and bank account, and our team reviews them. You can build your full menu while the review is running, so you go live the moment you are approved.
Yes. Open Account and tap “Sell on Foodprint” (any “Become a vendor” button works too while you are signed in), confirm the switch, and your account becomes a vendor account — then the application wizard walks you through your kitchen details, photos and bank account for review. The switch is permanent: an account holds one role, so there is no going back to a plain customer account and no switching to riding later. You lose nothing you had — vendors can still browse, order and get food delivered like anybody else.
You must be at least 18, have a working bike, a smartphone, a valid means of identification and a guarantor. Every rider is physically verified by our team before their account is activated — there is no way to skip that step.
Go online in the app and nearby orders are offered to you one at a time, each with the pickup, the drop-off and what it pays. You have sixty seconds to accept or decline, and declining costs you nothing.
Every completed delivery adds its fee to your earnings balance, visible in the app the moment you hand the food over. Your balance is paid out to your verified bank account automatically every Thursday, covering everything you have earned through Wednesday.
Never. Every order is paid for online before you collect it. You carry food, not money — which is exactly why we built it prepaid.
Yes. Open Account and tap “Ride with Foodprint” (any “Become a rider” button works too while you are signed in), confirm the switch, and your account becomes a rider account — then the application takes your ID, bike papers and guarantor, and our team physically verifies you before activation. The switch is permanent: an account holds one role, so there is no going back to a plain customer account and no switching to selling later. You lose nothing you had — riders can still browse, order and get food delivered like anybody else.
No. You can browse kitchens, search dishes and fill a tray as a guest. An account is only required at checkout, because an order needs somebody to deliver to and somebody to refund.
Only the rider carrying your order, and only while they are carrying it — access ends when the order is delivered. The kitchen sees your first name and what you ordered, never your address. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
No. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising. Analytics cookies only run if you accept them in the banner, and you can change that at any time.
Email privacy@foodprint.com.ng and we will action it within 30 days. Records that Nigerian tax and financial law requires us to keep — completed orders and their payments — survive the deletion; everything else is removed or anonymised.
Chat with us in the app — open Account, then “Chat with support”. You get instant answers to common questions, our assistant can check your order and payment live, and when a human is needed a ticket is opened and the reply lands in the same chat. Raise food or delivery problems within 24 hours of the delivery; where we find in your favour we refund to your original payment method. Email hello@foodprint.com.ng also works if you prefer.
Turn on push notifications from your Account page and this device is told the moment your order moves or support replies. Every update is also saved to the bell at the top of the app, so even with push off — or a notification your phone swallowed — nothing is ever lost: open Notifications and each entry takes you straight to the order or conversation it is about. You can also switch on WhatsApp updates from the same Account page, and we message you on WhatsApp when your rider picks up your order — reply STOP there any time to turn it off.
Share your referral code or invite link from your Account page. When somebody signs up with it and gets their first delivery, you earn ₦200 — your Account page shows everyone you have invited, who has ordered, and what you have earned.
The formal versions live in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where this page and those disagree, those win.
